Kanto't Coffee
A corner roaster with a name worth remembering.
Kanto’s Coffee had outgrown its pop-up signage. We gave it one mark, one palette, and one voice that could move from a cup sleeve to a storefront without losing the warmth of the counter.

The brief
A good cup, and no clear face.
Kanto’s was opening its first permanent door after years of markets and borrowed spaces. The coffee was already good. The identity was a folder of hand-lettered signs, supplier logos, and colours that changed with each new menu.
The brief was simple to say and harder to do: make it feel like one place. Not a chain, not a startup — a neighbourhood roaster people could recognise from across the street and from a photograph.
The work
What the brief became.
Identity
A mark with a morning in it
A circular seal that reads as both a sun and a cup, drawn to survive at 20 mm on a lid and at two metres above a door.
Application
A system, not a sticker
Warm paper, deep roast brown, and a single vermilion accent carried through cups, bags, aprons, menus, and the daily board.
Storefront
A front door that introduces itself
Signage, window graphics, and a one-page site that put hours, location, and the day’s roast ahead of the brand story.
The result
One mark, from the counter to the cup.
The identity now travels without a designer in the room. Staff can order the right cups, the sign reads from across the street, and every touchpoint points back to the same warm, unhurried place.
The site gives the shop a front door that opens before the shutters do — and gives the next pop-up a kit it can carry.
